The Rukban refugee camp in Syria is located near the border with Jordan and the US military base in the desert. Many refugees and IDPs are afraid of returning back home due to poor living conditions, military recruitment, and repression.

The last UN aid convoy arrived there in January.

Earlier Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoygu claimed the delivery of S-300 missile system to Syria.

“We have completed the delivery of S-300 systems. It includes 49 units of equipment: lighting radars, basic determination systems, of course, command vehicles, and four missile launchers,” he said.
