Ukrzaliznytsia plans to resume running of train Kyiv-Berlin

270 thousand passengers traveled to the EU over the last eight months, it is twice more than in the previous year

Ukrzaliznytsia” will work on the resume of a railway connection between Kyiv and Berlin in 2019. Yevhen Kravtsov, Acting Chairman of the Executive Board of the company claimed this, according to the website of the enterprise.

‘Ukrzaliznytsia moves forward with confidence in the direction of increasing the number of trains in the EU. As a result, we have the growing number of passengers by more than two times. 270 thousand passengers traveled to the EU over the last eight months, it is 110 percent more than for eight months of the previous year. It is a significant record not only for us, as a transportation company but for Ukraine in general, as a sign unity of Ukraine with the European space. We set ourselves new goals, including the resume of train Kyiv-Berlin. We will do our best to launch the train yet the next year,’ Yevhen Kravtsov claimed this.

The company stated that it develops the segment of ticket sales for international trains online. Yet today, it is available for trains in the direction of Przemysl, Cheдm, Vilnius, and Riga.
