“Ukrzaliznytsia” has sold 25 million tickets since the beginning of the year. As of the end of October, 60% of them were sold via online services, the press service of "Ukrzaliznytsia" informs about it.
It is worth noting that online ticket sales were introduced in 2009. Since then, passengers have purchased almost 117 million tickets online. In 2017, 41% of tickets were sold through online services, and in 2018 - 50%.
"Tickets on all domestic trains, international trains in connection with Poland, as well as the train “Four Capitals" Kyiv - Minsk - Vilnius – Riga can be purchased via the Internet. The important thing is that it is possible to apply for discounted tickets online: for people with disabilities, students," the message informs.
As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the strategy for Ukrzaliznytsia for 2019-2023. According to the approved strategy, the company will hold ten key events, including the implementation of reasonable tariffs for 2019-2022, reorganization of the society from the regional structure in business-segments in 2020-2022.
Besides, Ukrzaliznytsia intends to develop an investment program in 2020 and implement it in 2021. The strategy provides for the rationalization of network and business units for 2021.
