February 12, Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) delayed 13 trains due to reports of the mining of train number 42 Truskavets-Dnipro. The press service of the railway carrier reports.

"Because of the false report on the mining of the Truskavets-Dnipro train, 13 trains were delayed. Delays ranged from 15 minutes to 1.5 hours," the report reads.

The Ukrzaliznytsia specified that the passenger train was stopped at 3:15 at the Horodyshche station in the Cherkasy region, 700 passengers were urgently evacuated.

During the inspection by the operatives of the State Emergency Service, a group of pyrotechnics and a group of dog handlers, information about mining was not confirmed.

It is noted that the amount of damage caused by train delays at the branch is almost $2.600.

As we reported before, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk said in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda that Ukrainian Railways (Ukrzaliznytsia) would not be handed over to anyone for concession or privatization

He also added that the involvement of German experts, coordinated by Deutsche Bahn, is under the government’s consideration. As of now, the Memorandum envisages the first phase of consultation.
