At the end of 2019, the export of arms and services of enterprises participating in the Ukroboronprom concern amounted to $ 908 million, which is 19% more than in 2018. This was stated by the general director of Ukroboronprom Aivaras Abromavicius, as the press service of the concern said.
“According to the dynamics of negotiations in key markets, export growth of 30% can be predicted,” he said.
Among the key markets for the Ukrainian, he singled out India, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Asia and the Middle East.
"Among Ukroboronprom products, the greatest demand abroad is for: anti-tank missile systems, ship gas turbine engines and assemblies; among the services ordered are the repairs of Soviet equipment and modernization of aircraft," - Abromavicius said.
At the same time, according to him, significant obstacles still exist for the export development in Ukraine. In particular, the Director General of Ukroboronprom noted that a modest list of modern products, a lack of financial instruments to stimulate exports, while many countries lend to buyers, and unhealthy competition by exporters of the concern prevent a serious breakthrough in export markets.
As we reported before, state concern Ukroboronprom decided to sell the decommissioned property of enterprises through ProZorro, the public e-procurement system and a symbol of dramatic reform of government procurement.
