Ukrainians who stayed in countries where the coronavirus epidemic is fixed will be sent for observation upon returning home. National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov stated this during a briefing.

"Citizens of Ukraine who are currently abroad will have the opportunity to return to their homeland, but those who are in countries affected by the epidemic of coronavirus will undergo observation procedures," he said.

After the meeting of the NSDC, it was decided to close the border of Ukraine for foreign citizens for two weeks. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs must warn all institutions and all countries of respective decision.

As we reported earlier, the first death of a person infected with a coronavirus was recorded, as the Health Ministry reported.

A 71-year-old woman from Zhytomyr region who was hospitalized on March 12 with a laboratory-confirmed case of Сovid-19 died today, on March 13.

The relatives of the woman and persons with whom she contacted stay under the supervision of doctors.
