Subdivisions and territorial bodies of the State Migration Service of Ukraine issued 13,679 ID-cards during October 23-24 and directly on the election day, October 25. This was reported by the press service of the State Migration Service.
"The State Migration Service issued almost 13,700 ID-cards on the eve and on the day of local elections," the message informs.
So, on October 23, 7 687 ID-cards were issued, on October 24 - 5 320, on October 25 - 672.
The press service added that since 2016, the migration service has issued more than 5 million passports in the form of an ID card.
As we reported earlier, the released military sailors and other political prisoners received ID cards. Ukrainian Ombudsman noted that the State Migration Service of Ukraine organized mobile passport service to the places where the ex-captives were being treated.
She expressed hope that the card-issuing would help in the near future.
