The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has partially stopped the action of the agreement with Belarus on visa-free travels of the citizens as Lb.ua reported.

Thus, starting from September 1, the citizens of Ukraine will not be able to cross the border with Belarus on the inner Ukrainian passport.

According to the explanatory note, such a decision should accelerate the passing at the checkpoints at the border and reduce the number of cases of forgery of the passport of the citizen of Ukraine. Besides, it has to strengthen national security.

The amendments will concern only the departure of the Ukrainian citizens to Belarus and during the entrance to Belarus, they will be able to use the Ukrainian passport.
