Ukrainians made more than 33 million trips to the EU and the Schengen zone over two years of the visa-free regime of Ukraine with Europe. The Ukrainian diplomatic mission to the EU reported this on Facebook.
“Citizens of Ukraine have made more than 33 million trips to the EU and the Schengen zone. In particular, more than 2 million Ukrainian citizens have used the opportunity of the visa-free regime,” the report said.
The visa-free regime works successfully, according to the Ukrainian diplomatic mission to the EU.
It should be noted that Ukrainian citizens are bringing home new knowledge and contacts with each their trip that helps the state implement European integration processes irreversibly.
According to the report, real integration into the European Union started with the help of Ukrainians.
The representative office of Ukraine to the EU recalled that the Council of the European Union decided to cancel visas for short trips (90 for 180 days) for Ukrainian citizens when visiting 30 EU countries and the Schengen zone (excluding the United Kingdom and Ireland) on May 11, 2017.
A month later the visa-free regime started to work on June 11, 2017.
