Two Ukrainians, infected with new Chinese coronavirus at the board of Diamond Princess cruise liner, stay in the hospital in Japan as 112 Ukraine reported citing Healthcare Minister of Ukraine Zoriana Skaletska.
“Two Ukrainian citizens are in the hospital in Japan. They are fine; the symptoms and signs are minimal,” Skaletska said.
It is known that about 3,700 people from more than 50 countries stay at Diamond Princess. The total amount of infected is 70 people.
On February 10, it was reported that one more Ukrainian got infected with Chinese coronavirus on the Diamond Princess liner. 136 persons at the vessel diagnosed with coronavirus; the number of diseased increased twice for 24 hours. 25 Ukrainians stay at the vessel, while two of them infected.
Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated that the situation with the spread of the coronavirus can only turn out to be the "tip of the iceberg", as infectivity outside China is still low.
Besides, the State Health Committee of China called for the rational use of protective suits and other means that are used to protect against coronavirus.
