Residents of Kyiv pay tribute to the victims of terrorist attacks in Brussels, which took place on March 22. They bring flowers to the Belgian Embassy, and though the office has been closed since 6 p.m., people keep coming to show their grief and support for the Belgian nation. At 6 p.m., the activists led by fighters of Azov volunteer regiment lit candles in memory of the victims of the attacks. Flags of the EU and Belgium near the Embassy were flied at half-mast.
Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry decisively condemned the terrorist acts in Brussels. The Ukrainian diplomats expressed their condolences to the Belgian nation and the country’s government. “Ukraine shares the pain of the Belgian people as our country suffers from terrorist attacks, too. The tragedy that occurred once again confirmed the need of the world’s adequate response to terrorism and all those who resort to terrorist activities for fear and destruction. We should continue struggling with the common enemy, because no one can feel safe until this threat is completely neutralized”, reads the message.
