A Ukrainian woman who returned from Italy with suspected coronavirus appeared not to have a dangerous infection. The press office of the Center for Public Health (CPH) reported that.

It is also reported that according to the results of laboratory diagnostics by the virological reference laboratory of the Center for Public Health of Ukraine, no coronavirus was detected in any of the four samples. The health center noted that the citizen of Ukraine who returned from Italy, and the person from her environment, did not have the coronavirus symptoms. Two people from Dolyatin, Chernivtsi region also had negative results.

The State Border Service reported that activities are ongoing at the border and additional measures are being taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

"Yesterday, a woman who had a fever was found at a Boryspil airport on a flight from Italy. She didn’t conceal this, and she noted that she was feeling ill. She was transferred to medical workers and sent to one of the medical institutions in Kyiv. As far as I know that this is not a coronavirus disease, but an ordinary respiratory disease,” State Border Service speaker Andriy Demchenko said in a comment to 112 Ukraine TV channel.

He also noted that throughout the entire state border, the necessary measures are being taken to identify patients with coronavirus.

“We managed to mobilize all our forces to provide the checkpoints with the necessary instruments for measuring temperature and personal protective equipment for personnel. Since February 25, 160 thousand people who were traveling to Ukraine have been temperature-screened,” - Demchenko said.
