A Ukrainian citizen died in the Polish city Otwock after being seriously injured in a bus accident in early March. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"The fact of death is confirmed. The citizen, who suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident in Poland on March 6, was treated at a rehabilitation therapy clinic in Otwock, Mazovian Voivodeship. The injuries were incompatible with life," the message reads.
The ministry noted that the Ukrainian consuls will provide the relatives of the deceased with the necessary assistance in repatriating her body to Ukraine.
As we reported earlier, on March 6, six people died and 35 were injured in an accident involving a Ukrainian bus in southeastern Poland. The bus, with 57 people on board, fell into a ditch at night. Oleh Nikolenko, the speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, announced this on his Twitter page.
"Traffic accident in Poland: the number of injured has increased to 35 Ukrainians. Everyone is provided with the necessary medical and consular assistance. We are grateful to the Polish side for the prompt response," the message says.
