A female Ukrainian citizen was detained upon trying to bring 49 hidden iPhones from Russia.

An incident took place at Hoptivka checkpoint (Ukraine-Russia state border) in Kharkiv region, northeastern Ukraine. This is mentioned in the Facebook post by Ukraine's State Border Guard.

'The Ukrainian was crossing the entry checkpoint, heading to Ukraine; however, as she arrived, she began to worry a lot', the authority reported.

The law enforcers decided to use special technical tools to check the woman's personal belongings. They used a metal detector, which revealed the phones under her skirt, where she had some special sewn-in pockets. The goods were seized.

On August 12, three Ukrainians were detained – they were walking to Russia with more than $43,950 under the clothes, as the press office of Ukraine’s Border Guard Service reports.

“Three Ukrainians came to Hoptivka checkpoint. Two men and a woman born in 1984, 1952 and 1958 were heading towards Russia. The inspection revealed they were carrying around $44 thousand,” the message says.
