Workers of the Russian Emergencies Ministry have saved a female Ukrainian tourist, who ended up exhausted and lost at Mount Elbrus. Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported that on early Monday.
'The woman was brought down from Elbrus, she is alive and well', said the attendant of Elbrus High Mountain Search and Rescue Team of Russia's Emergencies Ministry.
At 8.40 p.m. Sunday, the authority got a word about a non-registered tourist from Ukraine who got stuck at Elbrus mountain, at the altitude of 5250 meters. She could not move on her own and used her flashlight to signal the rescuers.
Three workers and two vehicles were involved in the rescue operation.
Last week, Russian Emergencies Ministry sent another, 68th humanitarian convoy to the occupied territories of Donbas.
