The French police revealed new details of the case of Yuriy Khruchenyk, the Ukrainian teenager beaten up in Paris on January 21. Le Figaro released a story about the recent incident, the young man and his mother who reside in France.
The investigation team checks whether Yuriy is connected to the RD4 gang, which previously attacked another gang acting in the town of Vanves, not far from Paris. This could be the reason why the Ukrainian was attacked. The Instagram nickname of the young man includes initials "4fp".
Besides, the article says that Yuriy drew the attention of the local police because of violent acts. None of the suspected attackers have been detained yet. The police also look into his interaction with some members of U.S. Boulogne, the football club from the namesake town.
The French law enforcers also look into the case against Yuriy's mother Natalya Khruchenyk. She is suspected of concealed employment, illegal work and human trafficking. 11 Ukrainian women blamed Krushenyk for their illegal employment; the appeal was filed in late November. One of these ladies claimed that they came to France, holding tourist visas, and stayed in this country after the visas expired. The women complaiend about low salaries and tough working conditions. Sometimes, they did not even get paid. Krushenyk who gave them this job insisted that the women were employed legally.
Yuriy is now recovering at a hospital.
A group of unknown culprits attacked the Ukrainian teenager in Paris, not far from Eiffel Tower. A dozen of attackers were armed with baseball bats, metal bars and knives hit the company of students. Everyone but Yuriy managed to escape.
