European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad 2017

A schoolgirl from Ukraine claimed victory at the European Girls’ Mathematics Olympiad in Zurich, Switzerland. The organizers reported that at Facebook.  

Olga Shevchenko, the schoolgirl from Kharkiv, northeastern Ukraine, shared the first place with Qi Qi from the U.S. Both scored 42 points, thus taking over other gold medalists of national competitions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Kazakhstan, Russia, Serbia, Hungary, Saudi Arabia and the UK.

In the country overall ranking, Ukraine came second, losing only to the United States and beating Russia, which came third.
