Ukrainian rescuers, who were investigating the Boeing 737 crash in Tehran, departed from Iran. This was stated by National Security Council’s Secretary Oleksiy Danilov, Radio Svoboda reports.
"Some of the specialists, who are no longer needed, it is about our rescuers, who have completed all their necessary work, are returning to Ukraine. They crossed the border, we did everything necessary to make the return safe," Danilov stated.
Several specialists continue working on the investigation.
As it was reported earlier, Boeing 737 of Ukraine's International Airlines, flight PS 752 with 176 passengers aboard crashed in Tehran, not far from Imam Khomeini airport.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani expressed his regret that missiles launched by his army “by mistake” led to the crash of Ukrainian plane in Tehran.
"Armed Forces’ internal investigation has concluded that, regrettably, missiles fired due to human error caused the horrific crash of the Ukrainian plane & death of 176 innocent people," Rouhani said.
