The Ukrainian political prisoner Oleksiy Stogniy, who was convicted in 2016 by a ‘Crimean court’ in the so-called ‘Ukrainian saboteurs’ case, has already returned to Kyiv. The Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova reports in Telegram.
“All these years, our citizen was kept in unbearable conditions of places of freedom of the occupying country, which greatly affected his state of health. I will urgently take appropriate measures to conduct a highly qualified medical examination and provide the necessary medical care to Oleksiy,” – Denisova reports.
She added that she is carrying out the necessary work for the speedy return of 115 citizens of Ukraine who are still illegally held by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation
Stogniy was detained on the night of November 14–15, 2016, opposite the Kalanchak checkpoint when leaving Crimea, when he was heading to Kiev for his daughter’s birthday.
As we reported before, Ukrainian ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova reacted to today's detention of two teenagers in Kerch; the boys are suspected of preparing terrorist acts in local schools.
