Ukrainian Parliament extends special status of Donbas for another year

The law takes effect only when the aggressor state withdraws all the illegal armed groups, militants, mercenaries and military hardware

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a draft law 9153 on extended the term of the special order of local self-governance in separate areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions for another year. 245 MPs supported a bill.

The provision of the law on the special status of the area shall take effect only when the aggressor state withdraws all the illegal armed groups, militants, mercenaries and military hardware from Donbas.

As it was reported, a year earlier the Verkhovna Vada also extended the term of this law for another year.
