Commanding officer of the Ukrainian Navy, Rear Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa appears to be infected with coronavirus. UNIAN news agency reported that, quoting a source in the military authority.

"Results of the test passed last week turned out to be positive. At that, the source claims that the Rear Admiral feels alright. He is on self-isolation, and it "doesn't affect the process of Navy completing its tasks", the message says.

Another few officers of the Navy command are presumably infected; they do not show any symptoms, and their health is beyond any danger now.

Meanwhile, the number of new Covid-19 cases in Ukraine's Armed Forces, confirmed on August 18 made 40. The Medical Forces Command reported that on Wednesday, August 19.

"Eight of these are at medical establishments. The patients are in satisfactory condition, getting the necessary treatment. 32 people are staying home under the supervision of medical service. Patients' conditions are satisfactory, mild symptoms are observed", the message says.

As of 10 a.m. August 19, the overall number of infected in the military now makes 458 people. 816 recovered, and six died.
