The new Brimstone Sea Spear missile, developed by the British company MBDA UK, can be delivered to Ukraine to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Department of Military-Technical Policy, Armament Development and Military Equipment of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that in response to the request of Ukrinform news agency.

"The British company MBDA UK is developing a new missile, Brimstone Sea Spear, which in the future may be delivered including to Ukraine to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the response said.

As it was reported, in October 2020, a Memorandum of Intent was signed in London between the Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The parties agreed to cooperate in the development of the Ukrainian Navy.

The document provides for the attraction of funds from the British Export Credit Agency in the amount of 1.25 billion pounds, as well as a supply of modern samples of military equipment and the latest high-precision weapons, the establishment of production of certain types of military products in Ukraine, the construction of facilities of the Ukrainian Navy.

The military vessels Ramsey and Blyth, which fulfilled the mission of the Royal Navy to search for mines in the Persian Gulf for 15 years, will be passed to the Ukrainian Navy.
