Rescue teams evacuated two mountain climbers from Odesa, southern Ukraine, as they got stuck in the mountain gorge. As 112 International reported, the accident took place in Dopakh pass in Russia’s North Ossetia.
According to Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry, the rescue and evacuation operation took place on Friday morning. ‘The rescuers evacuated two Ukrainian citizens who suffered due to stone fall; the injured were taken to the hospital in Vladikavkaz,’ the ministry’s consulate service reported.
Another five alpinists are on their way down to the tourist base where they will receive first aid.
