Tomographic images show that the lungs of Covid-19 patient are covered with ‘frosted glass’

The doctors from Ternopil showed medical images with lesions in the lungs of the patients in the result of the affection with the coronavirus as the Health Department of Ternopil Regional State Administration reported on Facebook.

“If the disease progresses, it ties with the over-reaction of the immune system to the virus. The inflammation occurs that might affect other organs,” Ternopil doctors reported.

Commenting tomographic images of the lung of a healthy and infected person, the medics drew attention that the lungs of a person with Covid-19 are covered with ‘frosted glass’.

Earlier, in China, the research showed that after the recovery of a patient, the coronavirus may lurk deep in the lungs and it cannot be determined by usual test methods.

Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors detected 3,497 new cases of infection with coronavirus. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, Covid-19 was detected in 184,734 people. 3,705 of those passed away (+63 over 24 hours), and 81,760 recovered (+1,779 over 24 hours).
