In the event of migrants breaking through the Ukrainian border, all available forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be at the border within 30 minutes, Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky stated, the press service of the Ministry reports.

Monastyrsky noted that large-scale exercises of units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs within the framework of a special border operation are being held in five regions bordering Belarus.

"During the exercises, we saw that all units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are a real fist that can ensure the internal security of Ukraine. A few weeks ago there was a completely different picture. And today we are convinced that in 30-60 minutes after the intelligence provides information about the arrival of migrants, our units will be at the border," he said.

According to him, the first at the site of the breakthrough will be border guards, then they will be joined by police and the National Guard.

Monastyrsky added that several scenarios have been worked out so far, including how to act in the event of a mass breakthrough.

As it was reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has allocated 175 million hryvnias ($6.5 million) to eliminate the consequences of a social emergency on the border with Belarus.

According to Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky, Ukraine must be ready at any time to impose a state of emergency in the border areas due to migrants from Belarus.

He also stated, Ukraine will use echelon cover tactics to protect border guards and will allow to open fire.
