A woman was taken to a hospital in Chernivtsi (western Ukraine) upon returning from Italy; doctors suspect coronavirus. Mariya Polishchuk, the deputy director of the regional healthcare department said so during the briefing at Chernivtsi regional state administration, Ukrinform news agency reported.

According to her, the lady herself turned for medical assistance upon the arrival from Bergamo to Chernivtsi. The doctors decided to isolate her, as she could have contacted the infected people in Italy. Currently, she is being examined.

"The woman came from Bergamo to Suceava, Romania by airplane. Then, she took a taxi and came to Chernivtsi. She turned to the doctors herself, complaining about increased body temperature", the official said.

It is known that the medics took all probes from the patient. They ask the locals to remain calm, because there have been no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ukraine.

As we reported, on February 25, medics confirmed the first case of an infection with Chinese coronavirus in mainland Spain. La Vanguardia reported that, citing the Spanish healthcare officials.

The incident was observed in Catalunya. A 36-year-old Italian was hospitalized; she traveled to Milan and Bergamo for ten days, and then she felt sick. Currently, she just suffers from typical symptoms of influenza. Medics consider it is a light case of coronavirus infection.
