"There are already hundreds of such cases (cases of re-infection with Covid-19). Especially, people who fell ill at the beginning of the epidemic, their antibody titer starts to fade. It is usually that much harder for them to get through the disease for the second time. A lot of such cases tend to be fatal," Stepanov said.
The minister also noted that it was theoretically impossible to get infected with coronavirus for the third time at that point.
As we reported earlier, the World Bank will provide Ukraine with almost 2.5 billion hryvnias (88,5 million dollars) for the purchase of coronavirus vaccines.
The funds will be allocated under the new project - 'Emergency response to Covid-19 and vaccination in Ukraine.'
It was also reported that relevant negotiations between the World Bank's Board of Executive Directors and the Ukrainian Government had been underway since December 2020.
