Ukrainian film "Weightlifter", directed by Dmytro Sukholitky-Sobchuk, which won several awards, has been released online on Takflix.

"Weightlifter" was created in a co-production of Ukraine and Poland. This is Sukholitky-Sobchuk's debut short film, which tells the story of the price of victory in professional sports. The picture shows the life of a weightlifter who is preparing for an important competition.

The main role was played by non-professional actor Aleksandr Loy.

The film's viewing cost is 30 hryvnias (1,1 dollars). It is available worldwide, except Germany, France, and Poland.

As we reported earlier, a biographical film about Kazimir Malevich, the author of one of the most famous paintings in world history - "Black Square", will be shot in Ukraine.

The film will be directed by Daria Onyshchenko ("Eastalgia", "The Forgotten"), the script was written by Daryna and Anna Palenchuk. The project got into the script laboratory of the famous European program MIDPOINT, where the filmmakers will have the opportunity to consult with professionals from Netflix and HBO.
