In Ukraine, the film was first showed during the 10th Odesa International Film Festival. The picture claimed several prizes. My Thoughts Are Silent reached cinemas all over Ukraine on January 16, 2020. The box office totaled some 357,000 U.S. dollars.

The tragic comedy My Thoughts Are Silent, which was Lukich’ first feature film is a story about a young soundman Vadym. After failures at work and in his personal life, Vadym got a chance to start over. A simple task – to record the voices of Zakarpattia animals – might give him an opportunity to leave “uncomfortable Ukraine” and move to “attractive Canada”. Far away from the problems. Yet, things get worse when his mother becomes his fellow in his new work.
