Ukrainian movie Mother of Apostles has received the award as the best feature fiction film at the Nevada Women’s Film Festival in Las Vegas as the State Cinema of Ukraine reported.

The director of the movie is Zaza Buadze. The main roles in the film were played by Natalya Polovynka, Bohdan Benyuk and Oleksandr Pozharsky.

In search of her son-pilot as his plane was downed over the occupied territories, the mother appears to be in an absolutely strange and aggressive world, where everything is pierced with hatred, pain, and suffering. In this hell, she is searching not only for her son. She, bearing huge love in her heart and merciful nature, changes everyone she meets.

Nevada Women’s Film Festival is the annual event dedicated to the celebration and support of a fair depiction of a woman in the cinema. This year, 58 movies from 20 world countries were presented at the 7th festival.
