Ukrainian film about Donbas wins at Film Festival in Norway

Movie Atlantyda of Ukrainian director Valentyn Vasyanovych, who earlier got the Grand Prix of Minsk International Film Festival Listapad, won at the film festival in Norway.

The State Film reported on Facebook, drama got the main award, Aurora of Tromsø International Film Festival, which took place on January 13-19. 11 movies competed with Atlantyda.

The film says about the post-industrial future, after the return of occupied Donbas to Ukraine. It will be presented in Ukraine in 2020.

As we reported, the premiere of film Nomery (Numbers), based on the play of Oleg Sentsov, would take place within Berlin International Film Festival on February 18. The film will be presented within the special showcase dedicated to the anniversary of the Berlinale.

Earlier, the international trailer of the movie of Iryna Tsilyk “The Earth Is Blue As an Orange” was published in the social networks.

The world premier will take place on January 24, 2020, in the section of World Documentary Competition of the Sundance Film Festival. The movie of a Ukrainian film director for the first time will be presented in the program of Sundance festival, the biggest festival of independent cinema in the United States.
