Lebanon does not stop to recognize the Ukrainian medical diplomas as Liliya Grynevich the Ukrainian Minister of Education and Science claimed earlier. The Embassy of Ukraine in the Lebanese Republic stated this as Interfax-Ukraine reports.
‘Lebanon did not make any decision to stop the recognition of the Ukrainian diplomas and the Ukrainian graduates do not have to confirm their diplomas’, the Embassy claimed.
However, the Embassy notices that all graduates from the medical universities should pass medical exams and according to the results they receive the license.
International treaty framework of the bilateral cooperation in the cultural and humanity spheres maintains the state to state agreement about the cooperation in the education sphere and science research on the inter-ground. It was signed in September 2003. Due to this document, sides agree to admit the official documents about education, scientific degrees and the documents about professional skills that were drawn by appropriate establishments of the both countries according to the legislation.
The Embassy of Ukraine in the Lebanese Republic reported that the Ukrainian-Lebanese state to state agreement of the inter-recognition of the documents is under the consideration.
According to the Embassy, 903 students from Lebanon receive a degree in Ukraine in 2017. It shows the significant demand to get the Ukrainian educations. The main careers are medical, engineering and technical.
Earlier Liliya Grynevych Ukrainian Minister of Education and Science claimed that Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Palestine temporary or permanently stopped to recognize Ukrainian medical diplomas. According to her, the main reasons for such decision.are low passing grades of entrants and lack of access to the internship training.
