Ukrainian-born dancer Serhii Polunin believes that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will help him with the return to Ukraine, Krym Realii reports.

“I did not address anybody. But I hope for the speedy establishment of the relations between Russia and Ukraine. Energetically I feel that Zelensky is a good man, he has good energy, so, I do not know, he can help me back. Maybe a situation will be fixed,” Polunin said.

Polunin's father Volodymyr earlier said that his son had come to Crimea from Russia, after which he ended up in the database of Ukrainian site Peacemaker as a "violator of the state border". Volodymyr Polunin was convinced that his son was banned from entering Ukraine.

The edition, with the reference to the Security Service of Ukraine, states that there is no information on the possible ban to entry Ukraine for Serhii Polunin.

It is worth mentioning that Polunin acquired Russia's citizenship in November 2018.

As we reported earlier, the Peacemaker website added Batkivshchyna political party leader Yulia Tymoshenko to its database.

"Illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine, attacking border guards who performed their duties protecting the state borders of Ukraine with a group of people, participating in the preparation of the illegal crossing of Ukraine ‘s state border by a person without Ukrainian citizenship, manipulation of socially significant information," the report said.
