Ukrainian attempts to illegally smuggle 150 gadgets to occupied Donbas

The gadgets included mobile phones and tablets

Ukrainian citizen tried to illegally smuggle 148 mobile phones and two tablets to the occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The press office of the Joint Forces Operation reported on Facebook. 

The car with gadgets was detained at Maiorske checkpoint. The devices in the amount of $21 thousand were found in the secret compartments between the seats.

A protocol on administrative offense was initiated against the perpetrator.  

Earlier, the detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine exposed the Prosecutor of Department for Supervision of Compliance with Laws in Criminal Procedure and Coordination of Law Enforcement Activities of the Prosecutor General’s office on the bribe of $15 thousand.

As it was reported earlier, the Head of the Department of Tax and Fees was detained for a bribe in the amount of $20 thousand from the individuals of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine. Later, the Prosecutor General’s office and Security Service of Ukraine arrested Oleksiy Tamrazov, ex-deputy of the Chairman of the Executive Board of Ukrgazvydobuvannya company, which is fully owned by NAK Naftogaz-Ukraine; the country’s gas extraction corporation that provides over 75% of the gas extracted in Ukraine. He was trying to give a $200 thousand bribe to a prosecutor.
