Ukrainian runner and mountain skier Oleksiy Borysenko went missing in the capital of Japan. Theis is mentioned on the athlete’s page on Facebook.
“The marathon runner and mountain skier from Ukraine Oleksiy Borysenko has disappeared. He was last seen in Tokyo on February 28, when he left the hotel and entered the subway. Since then, he has not returned to his hotel. He did not check out of the hotel. All his things are still at the hotel. He missed his flight back to Ukraine and did not fly out,” the message says.
The reports said that the athlete could head for the top of Mount Fuji.
As we reported before, Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina held a semifinal tournament match in the Mexican Monterrey.
The rival of the Ukrainian was Aranta Rus from the Netherlands. The Dutchwoman was unable to oppose Elina and won only one game in two sets. Svitolina has not win by such a margin since 2012. In total, during her career, she has won her 46th “dry” set so far.
In the final of the Monterrey tournament, Elina Svitolina will face off against Marie Buzkova from the Czech Republic.
