Ukrainian army adopts new man-portable missile system ‘Corsair’

The new weapons is capable of hitting targets within the same range as FGM-148 Javelin

Ukraine’s armed forces officially adopted the new man-portable missile system. Press service of the state-run defense enterprise Ukroboronprom reported that on Tuesday.

The newly adopted weapon called ‘Corsair’ is designed to hit hostile armored targets, combat helicopters, lightly armored fortifications and manpower. The laser-guided missiles can hit the targets within the range of 2,500 meters – the same as U.S.-employed FGM-148 Javelin.

After the successfully passed tests, Ukroboronprom sent about 50 missiles for Corsairs.
