Ukraine's sport drama film Pulse, based on the real-life story of Ukrainian champion Oksana Boturchuk will become the opening picture of the Flathead Lake International Cinemafest in the U.S. The event will be held in Polson (Montana, USA).
It will also be the world premiere of the picture; the event kicks off January 29 and comes to an end January 31 - that's when the film will be aired again.
Pulse is represented in four categories: Best Film, Best Director (Serhiy Chebotarenko), Best Actress (Natalya Babenko) and Best Actor (Stanislav Boklan).
The festival will be taking place both online and offline. All respective events will be going on live, but those who choose the virtual option will be able to view the films at a web portal - after all pictures are screened.
Serhiy Chebotarenko will himself present the film at the festival.
The premiere in Ukraine was scheduled for March 2020, but later it was rescheduled for 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Previously, the Ukrainian film claimed four nominations at the international film festival in Polson.
