Officers of Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) exposed the criminal business of businessmen from Severodonetsk who registered in the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic and organized passenger bus transportation to Russia. This was reported by SBU’s press service.

The operatives of the special service established that the buses of Severodonetsk residents have been regularly transporting citizens from Donetsk through the uncontrolled section of the border since 2016.

"Every day at least two bus services were performed from the temporarily occupied territories to Russia and back. Passenger traffic amounted to more than 1,5 thousand people per month. The monthly revenue of criminals ranged from 1,5 to 3 million in hryvnia equivalent (56 to 112 thousand dollars – 112 International). The organizers paid part of the profits to the budget of the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic,” the message reads.
