From August until September 2019, the population of Ukraine reduced for 14.000 people as the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.

“The significant surpass of the number of died over the number of live births remains: for 100 died – 53 live births,” the message said.

During January-August 2019, the number of people of Ukraine reduced for 177.000 people and as for September 1, the population made 41.976.2 people.

The data for calculation covers all regions of Ukraine except temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Sevastopol.

As we reported almost one-fifth of the working-age population of Ukraine aged 15–70 years is working abroad.

The representatives of self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics hold the population census as the OSCE SMM reported.

Besides, in the territories of some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Russian fighters began to conduct population census since October 1.
