The delay in the evacuation of Ukrainians from the Chinese city of Wuhan is caused by the government's desire to minimize risks to zero. Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk said this during a briefing, which was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV Channel.

"We continue looking for an opportunity to conduct evacuation in such a way that it does not create additional risks for the local population (in Ukraine – ed.). This is the main task," Ukraine's PM said.

As we reported earlier, the evacuation of Ukrainians from Hubei province was scheduled for February 11.

However, it has been postponed. Currently, there are ongoing preparations for the next stage to take place.

Zoriana Skaletska, Ukraine's Minister of Health, stated that before getting on an aircraft, Ukrainians were supposed to get special documents. By signing them, they would agree to be put under quarantine.

During the previous two flights, about 350 people returned from Hainan island to Ukraine. None of them were infected with the coronavirus.
