The artist and her record, The Poetry Of Places showed up in two nominations at a time; it's "Best compilation" and "Producer of the year in the classical music".
The record features new solo works and those created in cooperation with Los Angeles Philarmonic's pianist Joanne Pierce Martin and Los Angeles Percussion Quartet members, Nick Terry and Corey Hills.
Nadiya Shpachenko is a music professor at California's Polycentric University in Pomona (USA). In the U.S., she is famous as a lively contributor and performer of modern music. The artist uses a common piano, but also employs toy instruments, harpsichord, and percussion.
According to the University News Center of California's Polycentric University, "Shpachenko, a two-time Grammy-nominated pianist, said she often feels attuned to the spaces where she performs, drawn to the ornamentation, history, light and sound of a concert hall".
