Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council adopts Doctrine of Informational security

Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council adopted the Doctrine of Informational security today, on September 29, reports the press center of the Ministry of information policy of Ukraine.

Minister of information policy of Ukraine Yuriy Stets announced the doctrine to be the political vision of the Ukraine’s national security.

“This document is our political vision aimed to protect Ukraine’s national security in the information sphere,” he said.

Namely, the Doctrine defines the national interests in information sphere, aims, principles, directions, priorities and mechanism of formation and implementation the state information policy.

The document prioritizes the following directions:

- to create and develop the structures deal with informational-psychological security in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, first of all, implementing methods of the NATO member states;

- to develop and protect the technological information security infrastructure of Ukraine;

-to provide full digital broadcast coverage of the entire territory of Ukraine, primarily in near-border and temporarily occupied territories, etc.

The doctrine was also discussed with Ukraine’s European partners.
