Healthcare Ministry of Ukraine plans to initiate the maximum control over adherence to quarantine measures in connection with the significant increase in the number of coronavirus cases across the country. This was announced by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov during a briefing that was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"Today we will initiate the strictest control over the observance of quarantine conditions by certain institutions," Stepanov said.

According to him, it is about the transport that is used by Ukrainians without adhering to the mask regime, as well as some supermarkets where visitors have stopped keeping social distance.

"We believe that strict restrictions should be introduced in certain regions under conditions of adaptive lockdown. When I talk about strict restrictions, first of all, I am talking about restrictions on the work of certain institutions, nightclubs, in particular," the minister added.

As we reported earlier, today, on June 19, Ukraine reported another anti-record - 921 people have gotten infected with COVID-19 over the last 24 hours.
