Ukraine’s Minister for Social Policy voices number of Ukrainians working abroad

3.2 million Ukrainian citizens work abroad on a permanent basis, and 7 to 9 million Ukrainians work on the non-permanent basis. Minister of Social Policy Andriy Reva provided the statistics during the summary press conference on the results of his agency's work in 2018.

‘According to the official data of the State Migration Service and the State Border Service, 3.2 million people work on a permanent basis outside Ukraine. As for those working on a non-permanent basis, the figure ranges from seven to nine million people,’ Reva said. 

According to the Minister, there are two million Ukrainians who work in Poland. One million of them work officially, and only 400, 000 of them pay unified social contributions in this country.
