Maksym Stepanov, the Healthcare Minister of Ukraine does not rule out that the supply of the first batch of China's Coronavac vaccine may be delayed. He said so during the evening talk show on Tuesday night, as quoted by Interfax-Ukraine.

"According to the contract, we expect the supply of first 700,000 doses within 30 calendar days after the vaccine's registration. The vaccine was registered in China on February 6, which means on March 6, they are supposed to supply these in Ukraine. I charged the officials to sort it out with the contractor, but something tells me there might be a delay", Stepanov said.

Coronavac is developed by Chinese company Sinovac Biotech.

He also assumed that transportation of 117,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine to Ukraine could also be delayed. "In the middle of January, we received confirmation about the supplies in the middle of February, but it's already March 2, and there's still no vaccine", the Minister concluded.
