In Ukraine, out of 4,000 artificial lung ventilation machines, 372 are used to treat patients with Covid-19. Ukraine’s Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said this on the air of ICTV TV, Ukrinform reports.
"Today, the number of artificial lung ventilation machines that are used in the treatment of Covid-19 is 372 out of almost 4,000 available ... If we are talking about the treatment of Covid-19, we are currently provided with ventilation machines," Stepanov informed.
He also noted that funds for the purchase of such devices were allocated in May.
As reported earlier, there were not enough artificial lung ventilation machines in Crimea; people were forced to wait in queues for the available machines for five-seven hours and the mortality among old people was very high.
As of October 6, 234,584 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, 4,348 people have been diagnosed with the disease.
