Ukraine's government agrees on timeline of census

The Cabinet of Ministers agreed on the timeline of the census in Ukraine as the Ombudsman’s Office reported on Facebook.

“The government finally agreed on the timeline of Ukrainian census. It will take place in November-December 2020,” the message said.

It is reported that the meeting of Representative of Commissioner for Protection of Personal Data Mykola Smuk and representatives of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine took place at the Ombudsman’s Office. They discussed the issue of the compliance legislation in the protection of the personal data sphere during the holding of the test census.

As we reported, almost one-fifth of the working-age population of Ukraine aged 15–70 years is working abroad.

The representatives of self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics hold the population census as the OSCE SMM reported.

Besides, in the territories of occupied districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Russian fighters began to conduct population census since October 1.
