First lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska recovered from the coronavirus infection and is currently discharged from the hospital as the President’s Office reported.

“She feels good and she is happy to be with her family again. Overcoming Covid-19, Olena Zelenska needs to continue treatment for bilateral pneumonia caused by the virus, and she will receive it at home,” the message said.

On June 12, Zelenska received a positive result of a test for Covid-19. Then, she felt fine and did not reveal any symptoms of the disease. On June 16, she was taken to hospital with pneumonia. On June 30, it was reported that she feels better but continues to receive antimicrobial therapy.  

On July 2, 876 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in Ukraine. 27 people passed away, and 505 recovered during the previous day. Since the beginning of the pandemic till now, the overall number of infected in Ukraine has reached 46,763. Another 20,558 recovered.
