Ukraine's film Atlantis now available on MUBI streaming platform

Atlantis, the film by Ukrainian director Valentyn Vasyanovych is now available on MUBI, the international streaming platform.

According to the State Film Agency of Ukraine, this service focuses on art films and festival cinema. The full-length drama by Vasyanovych joined the collection of MUBI Releases, which includes "the most original and captivating films from programs of international festivals", personally selected by the platform's curators. 

Atlantis is one of the most decorated Ukrainian films of our time. The world premier took place at Venice fim festival in 2019; the picture was showed during more than 50 film festivals all over the world.

Atlantis is the most anticipated and the most awarded Ukrainian film of the year. The plot unveils in 2025, after the future victory of Ukraine in the war with Russia. Once occupied, Donbas is now part of Ukraine, but its territories are considered unfit for living there. However, there's still a place for new love being born.

All the roles in the film were played by non-professional actors - a former spy, volunteer of the charity fund helping the army “Come back alive” Andriy Rymaruk, paramedic Lyudmyla Bileka and volunteer Vasyl Antonyak. The shooting process took place in Mariupol (Donetsk region) and Kyiv.
