Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk has joined the Eurasia Center, a branch of the Atlantic Council of the United States. This was reported by the company's press service on Twitter.
“The Atlantic Council's Eurasia Center is honored to announce that Oleksiy Honcharuk will be joining as our new distinguished fellow. Serving as Ukraine's prime minister from 2019 to 2020, Oleksiy Honcharuk led a reform-oriented government. We're excited to welcome him to the team," reads the message.
In his turn, Honcharuk wrote that he was hoping for "fruitful and constructive cooperation".
As we reported earlier, on March 4, Verkhovna Rada accepted the resignation of Oleksiy Honcharuk from the post of Prime Minister and his government. 353 MPs voted "for" the corresponding draft resolution No. 3158.
On that day, the Ukrainian parliament made a decision to dismiss the previous Cabinet of Ministers.
Later, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Denys Shmyhal as the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
